How do I translate and certify my documents?
Here are some answers to the most common questions asked about our translation services.
If you need to certify a translation of a document from English into anther language, the translation company must confirm the following in writing:
- That the translation is ‘true and accurate of the original document’
- The date the document was translated
- The name and contact details of the translation company or its representative
We have two offices in the UK, based in London and Cardiff and our certified translations are accepted by the home office and most UK authorities. However, we conduct most of our business online; enabling you to electronically upload the document you wish to be translated, securely make a payment, and then once completed, receive your certified document via email.
It really depends on the word count and complexity of the document or text. However, for standard documents, we offer a same-day urgent translation service. If you require a hard certified copy sent to your address, please allow one to two working days for postage. We also offer a certified copy sent straight to your email, as part of our service.
Yes, we are able to provide your certified translation solely online from the comfort of your own home or office. Simply send us a scanned copy of your document/s using our online form or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, we will then analyse your document/s and send you a quote within 15 minutes! Once your translation is complete, we will send you both a hard copy via the post and email you a copy of your certified translation.
We accept payment via PayPal, Debit/Credit Card, or by bank transfer in Pounds Stirling, USD or Euros. You can pay online, over the phone or direct into our account.
This is determined by a number of factors as each quote is tailored to the individual customer requirements. However, target language, document size, specialisation, the complexity of the document, layout and translation timescale all play a factor in determining the cost of your project. In order to give you an accurate quote, we need to see the document/s you wish to be translated to determine the estimated word count and delivery time. Please contact us for a free no-obligation quotation today!
Certified translations are often needed for official authorities. If you are submitting your document to the Home Office, Foreign Commonwealth Office, an Embassy or any other official government department, you may be asked to provide a certified translation by a professional translation company, such as us. A certified translation from Lingo Service will be printed on company headed paper, signed, stamped and accompanied by a certifying letter which would have been signed by the project manager in charge of your translation. Confirming that the translation is true and accurate to the original document provided to us.
We can translate marriage, divorce and birth certificates, diplomas, high school certificates, university degrees and training course certificates to name but a few. If you also require notarisation for any of your translated documents, a small fee will apply.
