Can you certify my AI translation?
Yes. Upload your translation and the original document. A qualified linguist checks every line against the original and corrects it, then we certify the final translation as a true and accurate translation of the original, signed and dated with our full contact details: the same certificate we give our own translations.
Will the Home Office accept it?
The Home Office rules (Immigration Rules, paragraph 39B) ask for a full translation that can be independently verified. It must be dated and include confirmation that it is an accurate translation of the original, the full name and signature of the translator or an authorised official of the translation company, and their contact details. For leave to remain and indefinite leave to remain, it also needs certification by a qualified translator and details of their credentials. Once our qualified linguist has checked and corrected your translation, our signed certificate covers all of these points, with our ITI corporate membership and ISO 17100 certification. An AI translation on its own, without a certificate, is not enough.
Can I certify my own translation?
Not for official use. A certified translation has to come from a professional translator or translation company that takes responsibility for it, and UCAS, for example, says self-translations are not accepted. What we can do is check your translation: a qualified linguist compares it line by line with the original and corrects it, and then we certify the final version.
Will a UK court accept it?
For witness statements and affidavits in another language, the court rules say the translator must sign and certify that the translation is accurate (Civil Procedure Rules Practice Direction 32 and Family Procedure Rules Practice Direction 22A), so a qualified person has to take responsibility for it. Our linguist checks your translation against the original and corrects it, and then we sign and certify the final translation.
Will a university accept it?
UCAS treats a translation as official when it comes from a recognised, qualified and certifying translator, with a signed confirmation of accuracy and the translator's credentials, and it does not accept self-translations. Once our qualified linguist has checked and corrected your translation, it carries our signed confirmation of accuracy and our credentials. Some universities add their own rules, so check your university's admissions page too.
How much does it cost?
From 3p a word for common languages with certification included, 3.5p to 5p for other languages and 20% more when neither language is English, plus VAT. A certified document costs at least the same as a fresh certified translation (from £35; £45 for rare languages, Punjabi and Urdu), and a check without a certificate has a £25 minimum. Is ChatGPT good at translation?
For everyday text in major languages it is often decent. Accuracy drops sharply in other languages and in technical or legal content: one peer-reviewed medical study measured error rates from under 4% in Spanish to over 35% in Russian, and found ChatGPT had replaced an entire paragraph with invented text. That is why a human check matters for anything important.

What if my AI translation has a lot of errors?
We tell you before we start. If it needs heavy rework, you can switch to a fresh translation or take a full refund, so you never pay twice for the same work.
I do not have the original. Can you still help?
Yes, with a proofread of the language: spelling, grammar and flow, from 2p a word. Without the original we cannot check accuracy, so a proofread cannot be certified. Add the original to the form for a full check and certificate.
How is this different from machine translation post-editing?
Post-editing is for bulk business content, where we edit machine translation for internal use, including output your own team produced. This check is for documents that matter: a qualified linguist compares your translation line by line with the original, and we can certify it.
Which languages do you cover?
