Urgent Translation UK: Certified in 6, 12 or 24 Hours

The detail

Urgent translation in 6, 12 or 24 hours

Urgent translation is a certified translation delivered faster than our standard 2 to 3 working days. Choose 6-hour same-day, 12-hour express or 24-hour fast track. Every urgent order arrives by email as a certified PDF with a signed certificate, accepted by the Home Office, UKVI, UK courts and universities. To order, upload your document, see your exact price in about 60 seconds and pick your speed.

Urgent translation speeds and prices

Each speed adds a set percentage to the standard price. The example prices are for one single-page certificate, such as a birth or marriage certificate, translated into one language.

  • 6-hour same-day, +75%: back within 6 hours. You can order it any day between 6am and 11pm UK time, and a one or two page document sent before noon is back the same evening. From £61.25 + VAT.
  • 12-hour express, +50%: back within 12 hours. Documents sent before 9am are back the same day. From £52.50 + VAT.
  • 24-hour fast track, +25%: back within 24 hours. From £43.75 + VAT.
  • Standard, no urgency charge: back in 2 to 3 working days. From £35 + VAT.

Some languages cost more. Pashto, Punjabi and Urdu certificates, for example, start at £45 + VAT at standard speed, with the same percentages on top. Longer documents are priced by word count. Specialist content, rare language pairs and longer documents can add time, and your online quote confirms the exact price and delivery time before you pay.

What your urgent certified translation includes

Urgent orders get exactly the same certified format as every other order, with no separate certification fee.

  • One combined PDF by email: your original document, the translation laid out page by page to match it, and the certificate. It is free with every order, and a permanent download link stays in your account.
  • A signed certificate with a Statement of Truth: one page on our letterhead, signed and dated, confirming the translation is "a true and accurate translation as per original document".
  • Our company seal, ITI corporate member reference and ISO 17100 reference on the certificate. You can check our membership on the ITI public register.
  • A posted hard copy, if you need one: wet-ink signature and embossed seal, sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 (£5.99, 1 to 2 working days), Special Delivery next working day (£11.99) or tracked international delivery (£19.99, 7 to 10 working days). Postage prices exclude VAT.

The same certificate is accepted by the Home Office, UKVI, UK courts and universities. See a specimen certificate.

What to send for the fastest turnaround

Have these ready before you upload:

  • A clear scan or phone photo of every page, corners and stamps included, since every part of the document is translated. Flag anything you know is hard to read: we mark unreadable text as illegible rather than guess. Phone photos are fine, as the quote form accepts JPG and PNG images as well as PDF and Word files, up to 50MB each.
  • The language the document is in, and the language you need.
  • Your deadline, as a date and a time, so you can choose a speed that meets it.
  • Who will receive it, for example the Home Office, a court or a university, and any instructions they gave you. You can add these in the Special Instructions box at checkout.
  • Your name as it appears in your passport, in Latin letters. The checkout asks for it on certified orders.

When you have these, upload your document and see your price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about urgent translation services

How fast can you translate documents?

We offer 24-hour fast track for standard documents, 12-hour express for short documents and 6-hour same-day. With 12-hour express, documents sent before 9am are back the same day. Our 6-hour same-day service can be ordered between 6am and 11pm UK time, so a one or two page document sent before noon is back the same evening. Standard delivery is 2 to 3 working days.

Is urgent translation more expensive?

Yes. 24-hour fast track is +25%, 12-hour express is +50% and 6-hour same-day is +75% of the base rate. The exact cost depends on the language pair and the document, and your online quote shows it before you pay.

Can urgent translations be certified?

Yes. Every urgent translation includes full certification, accepted by UKVI, the Home Office, courts and universities. Urgent work is held to the same quality standard as every other order.

Can you translate at weekends?

Yes. Urgent requests are monitored outside normal hours, including weekends and bank holidays, for genuine emergencies. Our 6-hour same-day service can be ordered any day of the week between 6am and 11pm UK time. For a long document due over a weekend, contact us first to confirm availability.

What if my document is too long for an urgent deadline?

Longer documents can still meet an urgent deadline. We split the work across several linguists working in parallel and keep the terminology consistent across the whole document. Contact us with your document and deadline and we will confirm what is possible and the price.

Can I use Google Translate or an app for an urgent official document?

Not for an official document. A document for the Home Office, a court or another UK authority needs a certified translation: a translation with a signed statement that it is true and accurate. Our UKVI translation requirements guide lists machine translation on its own among the translations that are not suitable for UKVI applications and will likely be rejected. If time is short, choose 6-hour same-day on the quote form, available any day from 6am to 11pm UK time.

Will the Home Office or UKVI accept a PDF of my certified translation?

Usually, yes. Most UKVI applications accept digital certified translations, but some visa centres or specific applications may require hard copies. Every order includes the certified PDF by email at no extra cost, and you can add a posted hard copy at checkout. If you are not sure which format your application needs, contact us before you order, or read our Home Office certified translation guide.
